GRASPING AT GRAINS

Kalbarri, Western Australia

      Ongoing body of work

Kalbarri, where the windswept Tumblagooda sandstone grains and red desert earth meets the Indian Ocean. Imposing canyons, betraying cliff sides, curious creeks all mould inland from the ocean towards the impending and omnipresent grip of the desert. A region fused with diversity yet ever enduring of the elements, an environment rested on resilience. But despite its apparent hardships, it's a land that invites adventure and exploration, a challenge at its very existence. I set out to unearth what compels people to interact so diversely, inquisitively and openly in such an environment
